The marine series is inspired by the sea, the beach, the boats and the fishermen of the Copacabana fort in Rio de Janeiro, the city where I currently live and work.
It is made up of welded wire fish with a metal mesh applied on top that gives the impression of scale texture. The finish is given with electrostatic painting.

Also in the same series there is the seahorse and the first fish, a wire sculpture made by hand without welding. The base of the work is an old piece of steel recycled from the centuries-old buildings in the port area, which no longer exist today because they were demolished to make way for new housing buildings in the region.
