BOTANICAL LAMP
by Roberto Romero
Handmade welded steel piece with electrostatic painting
Diameter: 55 cm - Height: 40 cm
The botanical luminary arises mainly from the observation of the Atlantic Forest in the Itatiaia National Park in Rio de Janeiro.
Another important part of the inspiration comes from the well-known Tiffany lampshades, design classics. Created around 1895 by American designer Louis Comfort Tiffany, the lampshades are handcrafted from stained glass wrapped in tinned and soldered copper ribbons, inspired by the French artistic movement Art Nouveau.
The Art Nouveau style, or Art New, spread across Europe between 1890 and 1910 and manifested itself in the plastic arts, sculpture, design, and architecture. The asymmetrical lines and shapes such as foliage, flowers, and animals are some of its characteristics.
